SAN DIEGO, Calif. - PFC Kade D. Mader, 19, son of Kirk and Donna Mader of Winnemucca, graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Sept. 21.
Mader successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of 598 recruits in First Battalion Delta Company and one of 87 recruits in Training Platoon 1065. While in basic training, Mader achieved Expert Rifleman.
Following 24 days home on leave and recruiter's assistance, he will report to Camp Pendleton for two months at Infantry Training Battalion. He will then report to Virginia for Security Force training. Mader will be stationed at a Permanent Duty Station following training.
