WINNEMUCCA - The junior golf season got underway this past Wednesday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course as the youngsters joined with the Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club for a nine-hole scramble.
With a total of 48 players in the field, the team of Champoo Landy, Chris Mendoza, Brad Schmidt, Hannah Havens and Rylee Clement was first with a 31. Bev Upshaw, Trevor Stannard, Nate Chapman, Jake Schmidt, Josh Shaver and Caden Smith were second at 35, followed by Rene Vesco, Andy Mendoza, Garret Gray, Riley Hochensmith and Chayton Drobny at 36.
