LOVELOCK - Ryder Happy may soon be cruising the street of Lovelock in his new motorized car, but that will probably have to wait until he begins walking a little better.

The 1-year old son of Tiffany and Mary Happy won the car by being named Supreme King in the Supreme Royalty baby pageant, sponsored by Star Bound USA out of Las Vegas. The pageant was held Aug. 19 at the Ramada Hotel in Reno.

In addition to winning the car, little Happy won a trophy along with smaller trophies and a ribbon for taking first place in the personality, beauty and most photogenic categories of the pageant.

"He did real good," said mom Tiffany Happy.

"I was a proud daddy," said dad Marty Happy.

Ryder Happy won the pageant just days before his first birthday on Aug. 25.

He is the grandson of Sherry Miller and Tom Rhodes and of Lorri and Alfred "Bum" Happy, all of Lovelock.

Lovelock businesses, Pershing's Pub, Chevron and Check Traders sponsored the tot in his adventure.

Mom and dad are both excited for their son but say they are not sure if they want a pageant lifestyle for him.
