Linda Hightower Pearce, 71, of Battle Mountain, passed away on Nov. 14, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev., as the result of a stroke suffered in her home on Nov. 8, 2014.
Linda was born on Dec. 22, 1943 in Dublin, Texas, to David and Eva Hightower. She graduated from Crane High School in Crane, Texas in 1961. She married Robert E. Pearce in Crane, Texas. on Feb. 22, 1961.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert, and their children Robert Jr. (Kathy) Pearce, Roger (Lindsay) Pearce, and Denise Sundquist; and brothers Richard Hightower and Tom (Shirley) Hightower; and sister Patricia (Steve) Malley.
Grandchildren: Melanie (Chris) Hooiman, Randi Sundquist, and Taylor, Nicole, Kaitlin, Jacob, and Micah Pearce. Great-grandchildren: Landon and Paige Hooiman.
She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Battle Mountain where she held several church positions including Director of Women's Missionary Unit.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a future date.
