Friday, June 13 at the Humboldt County Library the Summer Reading Program will be kicked-off with games, special guests, and a pancake breakfast.
All are invited to come and celebrate with us! Registration for the program is for children ages 2 up through graduating seniors and is $3 per child which includes breakfast, for non-participating family members breakfast is $1. Once registered for the program children are able to start recording their time spent reading with a drawing prize available for each 'step' they complete. The 'steps' vary by grade from Pre-K reading 30 books up through 9th-12th graders reading 900 minutes for each 'step'.
Running alongside the Reading Program are several crafts and activities, with something new going on every Wednesday and Friday. For a full schedule of activities be sure to check out the Summer Recreation Guide or pick up a pamphlet at the Library.
