LOVELOCK - The Pershing County Library held its third annual El día de los niños (The Day of the Children) celebration on April 27. The afternoon was filled with singing, dancing, crafts and snacks; all to celebrate children.
April 30 is the day Mexico recognizes children and honors them as important members of society. The celebration has taken hold in Lovelock, as over 100 children and family members attended the celebration last Friday at the library.
Pam Munk, Pershing County Library staff member and organizer of the party, made headbands for all the girls and the library provided sombreros for all the boys.
"We had another successful party," Munk said.
