WINNEMUCCA - The Lequerica Ranch took home the top spot at the McDermitt Ranch Rodeo on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5.
Blossom Ranch finished second, the Maher/Wilkinson Ranch was third and Kings River Ranch was fourth. Diamond A Ranch, Over n Under Team and the Jake Brennan Gang tied for fifth.
Matt Morrison won the bronc riding competition, Reme Lequerica the steer stopping and Frank Bengoa and Walty Blossom the big loop cow roping.
Ross Defenbaugh, Todd Carson, Junior Kelly and Josh Prom won the team roping, the team branding honors went to Kelsey Bengoa, Shaun Lequerica, Bryan Grenke and Dusty Easterday and Wayne Clark won the bucking horse ride off. Dusty Easterday won the top hand honor.
