Leonardo Figueroa (Tio Tele), age 94 passed away March 13, 2012, at Renown Medical Hospital in Reno. Leonardo was born Nov. 15, 1917, Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico. At a young age he moved to Queseria, Colima, Mexico, to work at a sugar cane factory. In 1946 he married Maria Belen Martinez. They had nine children, Miguel, Ramiro, Gustavo, Jaime, Roberto, Luis, Teresa (Trillo), Irma, and Hildeliza (Manzo). Leonardo moved to the United States in 1965. He lived in the Stockton, Calif., area to work the farming industry. In 1971 he moved to Winnemucca, and this has been his home ever since. He was employed by Winnemucca Farms for several years. Leonardo had 50 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Leonard enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a tremendous passion for gardening and attending church every Sunday.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Irma Figueroa, son Miguel Figueroa, and granddaughter Melanie Figueroa.

Leonardo will be forever missed.

Services will be held at Saint Paul's Catholic Church, Saturday March 17, at 11 a.m. The Rosary will be Friday, March 16, at 6 p.m. at Albertson Funeral Home.
