Leo Charles Swindler died Nov. 12, 2012.
Leo was born on July 13, 1944. He married Lorena Wingler in 1966 and they had two children, Loren (Chuck) of McDermitt and Sheila Marie Cox (deceased), two grandsons, Erick and Monte Jr., both of Oakland, Ore. Leo had one sister, Martha Lanning, of Roseburg, Ore., and Lloyd Swindler of Sutherlin, Ore. He was a Marine with two tours in Vietnam. He had so many friends both here and as far away as Seville, Spain. He was a deputy sheriff with Humboldt County. He had been a logger, truck driver and millwright.
A memorial will be held Dec. 1, 2012, at McDermitt Community Hall at 11 a.m.
