1944-2013
Lehman "Lee" R. Snellings passed away July 17, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, with family by his side.
Lee was born Oct. 19, 1944. He joined the U.S. Navy at a young age and proudly served his country as a Swift Boat crewman during the Vietnam War.
Lee lived and worked in Riverside County, Calif., for many years and was employed by the Indo Police Department, Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Riverside County Coroner's Department, retiring in 1996.
He then moved to Battle Mountain and worked for the Owl Club, and then John Davis Trucking. In 2006 Lee Headed north to Corning, Calif., to make his home with his sister Melody and her husband Darryl.
Lee is survived by two sons, Davis Snellings (Yasmina) of California and Ron Snellings (Corki) of Battle Mountain. Lee is also survived by numerous grandchildren; Alexus, Garrett, Katie, Joshua, David Jr., and Amarrissa. Lee-Dad-Grandpa will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to Lee's sister, Melody, and her husband Darryl for providing loving comfort to the end. Services will be held July 25 at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Igo, Calif.
