Chompoo Landt shot a low gross score of 186 to win the Club Championship for the Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club Tuesday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course. The first round was played on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Lynda Walton was second in the gross division in the first flight at 192 and Nina Smith (194) claimed third, with Gail Piquet finishing third at 195.
Candace Puls took first in the second flight with a 213, Lori Warnert was second with a 224, and Karen Aldrich placed third with a 228. Rene Vesco was fourth at 229.
Lori Mitch shot a score of 218 to win the third flight. Jean Mentaberry was second with a 228, Kay Billingsley third with a 258 and Anne Kelly (283) was fourth.
Cher Alvarez, Betty Cannon and Kelly had chip-ins on the first day of the tournament. Di An Putnam, Vera Mullins and Puls had chip-ins on day two.
Walton was closest to the pin on No. 2 at 54 feet, 6 inches, and Piquet was closest on No. 5 at 13-1.[[In-content Ad]]
