WINNEMUCCA - The Landfill Committee will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday beginning at 3 p.m. in Humboldt County Courthouse meeting room 201.
Public and personal communication and correspondence follows the call to order.
Agenda items include the possible approval-amendment of minutes from the Jan. 17 meeting, election of a chairman and vice chairman and the Landfill Quarterly Recycling Report and authorization for the release of grant funds.
The board will also discuss problems with obtaining the necessary information from the commercial haulers, Desert Disposal and Hoss Disposal, required by the county assessor for apportioning landfill fees. Also scheduled is use of the regional landfill for waste disposal by the Fort McDermitt tribe, a Humboldt Volunteer Hospice request for an exemption from landfill billing as a non-profit entity and miscellaneous matters relating to the Humboldt County Solid Waste Management District.
