Editor:
Lander County Emergency Medical Services (LCEMS) has been serving Battle Mountain since July 1. In addition to responding to almost 200 requests for help, LCEMS has completed all regulatory and quality assurance requirements necessary to schedule an EMS training class that will be available to the entire Lander County area. LCEMS has been able to work collaboratively with the Lander County School District to make the class available to the Austin/Kingston area via new video conferencing equipment. Every EMS response is being medically reviewed to assure that everything that was done was done correctly and to determine if we can improve how services are provided.
What LCEMS is particularly interested to hear from you is any questions, comments or suggestions that you have. Have you or a "loved one" had an experience where LCEMS did not respond quickly and effectively to your request for service? Were EMS personnel ever anything other than caring and professional? Did they explain everything that was happening so that you understood the situation? Do you have any questions about how to contact LCEMS in a time of need? Do you have any suggestions regarding how LCEMS could improve the services that are provided to the community?
LCEMS is always interested in improving what we do. Your comments are a good way to help us accomplish that objective. Thank You!
