Vacation Bible School
Hang on tight! Through every twist, turn, and dive Colossal Coaster World will challenge kids to face their fears and trust God. It's Vacation Bible School at Fellowship Baptist Mission in Battle Mountain like you've never experienced before! Children ages 4 through completion of the sixth grade are admitted free from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, Aug. 5 - 9. Older children that have completed the seventh grade can come as helpers. Rabies clinics to be held July 20
A rabies clinic will be held by the Lander County Sheriff's Office on July 20 in Austin from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Austin firehouse. No need to pre-register. The cost is $29 for a rabies shot for a dog, which includes a required exam. For a cat the cost will be $20. Micro-chipping is available for $25. Distemper/parvo shots are $25. Bordatella is $10.05 and a county license is $5. The county license is mandatory for those who live in an incorporated area. Local checks or money orders will be accepted. No cash.
Crescent Valley BBQ & Drawing
Crescent Valley Emergency Fund Inc. is having a barbeque and drawing at the Ranch House. The kick off is at 1 p.m. on July 27. There will be door prize tickets and jewelry prize tickets available. Refreshments available through the Ranch House.

Kingston Days
Kingston days will be going on Aug. 2 - 4. There will be loads of fun activities. Check out the Inside Northern Nevada to see what is going on each day. Come to Kingston and enjoy good food, games, fireworks, music, raffles and much more. Free camping will be available in town Friday, Aug. 2, to Monday, Aug. 4.

Lots of 4-H activities going on
Crochet is every second and fourth Tuesday of every month ages 5 and up from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Shooting sports is every first and third Tuesday of every month, ages 9 and up at the gun range at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Legos Robotics is every second and fourth Thursday of every month ages 5 and up from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Crochet and Legos are held at the Extension Office. 4-H will also be presenting Story Time at the Battle Mountain Library starting July 19 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. It will be every Friday after that at the same time through summer months. Quilt Show to be held at Civic Center Aug. 3 and 4
The How the West Was Warmed Quilt Show is being put on by the Battle Mountain Quilt Guild and will be held at the Battle Mountain Civic Center on Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature more than 100 quilts, vendors and concessions. The concessions will feature local products. There will also be door prizes.
The Gospel Project Bible study
The Fellowship Baptist Mission began a new Bible study last month and will continue every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The Gospel Project is a three-year study from Genesis through Revelation. The study teaches how the Gospel is reflected throughout the whole Bible. There are classes for all ages, from birth to adult. For more information, contact Bob at (775) 635-3470.
