WINNEMUCCA - Land Sharks has taken the early lead in the Winnemucca Pool League standings with a 2-0 record and 28 points after two weeks of play.
There are four other undefeated teams, including Rack Pack at 2-0 and 24 points in second. Losers (2-0) and Club 40 (2-0) are third and fourth, respectively, with 23 and 22 points. Bar M Saloon (1-1) is tied with Club 40 for fourth with 22 points.
Sand Diggers (1-1) is sixth with 28 points, followed by Hole in the Wall (1-1) with 17 points, Cheers (0-2) with 12 points, Mineshaft Kateers (0-2) with 11 points and Rehab Group (1-0) ninth with nine points. Sand Lizards, Ram Rods and Shaft Thiss finish out the standings.
In week two action, Land Sharks beat Ram Rods 15-2, Club 40 defeated Bar M Saloon 9-8, Rehab Group knocked off Sand Diggers 9-8, Losers beat Cheers 9-8, Hole in the Wall defeated Mineshaft Kateers 10-7 and Rack Pack beat Sand Lizards 11-6.
Garth Humphries leads the individual standings with a 10 average and eight wins. Joseph Sullivan and Mac Yakovac are tied for second with a 10 average and four wins each. John Mawhorter (9.50) is fourth and Ted Garcia (9.25) fifth.
