On Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 Lana Joy Hales Brittain peacefully passed away in her favorite chair in the home she loved. Lana always loved people, throughout her life she befriended everyone, talked to anyone and had a compassionate heart, loved deeply, gave generously and lived gratefully. She was well loved as a mentor, confidant, best friend, encourager, s*#& kicker and boss. She will be remembered by many for her amazing cooking, her butterflies, fairies, and all things purple.
Lana was born February 26, 1967 in Tremonton, Utah to parents, Janene Abel Miralles, and Richard M. Hales. She grew up and to went to school in Ogden, Nephi and Clearfield Utah. She later met her best friend and beloved husband Tony Brittain in Utah and moved to Winnemucca. June 9, 2012 they finally married. Together Tony and Lana have three children, Ron Corven, Jennifer Burke, and Jon Brittain; Dogs, Bella and Honey,and their cat Princess Felicia.
She is survived by her husband Tony Brittain, grandfather Roy Abel; parents Janene Abel Miralles, Richard and Shirley Hales; sisters Terry Nelson, Amy Vancil, Andrea Roesberry; sisters in Law Margie Aldous, Barbara Donnery; step children Ron Corven, Jennifer Burke, Jon Brittain; grandchildren Taylor Burke, Easton Brittain; nieces, Cassie Nelson, Olivia Roesberry, Payton Roesberry; as well as many aunts and uncles.
A life celebration in the form of an afternoon potluck will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brittain family home, located on 289 W. National Ave. in Winnemucca.
