Lady Longhorns play host to Division I-A foes Lowry and Elko

The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team had the tough task of hosting two of the top teams in the Ruby Mountain League last week. The Lady Longhorns faced Lowry on Tuesday, Oct. 9, and lost 8-0 to the Lady Bucks. The league-leading Indians came to town on Friday and beat Battle Mountain 7-0. The Lady Longhorns traveled to Lovelock to play Pershing County on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. Battle Mountain hosts Spring Creek Friday at 2 p.m.
