Kristy Lynn (McManamen) Sy was born March 8, 1980 and was 32 years old when she passed due to natural causes on Feb. 27, 2013 while vacationing in Belize.
She was born in Worland and lived in Casper, Wyo., until 1989 when she and her family moved to Winnemucca. She returned to the Casper area where she has lived for the past 15 years.
She attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She was an avid writer and philosopher. She was a delightful person with a warm and caring heart. She loved her family and took great pride and joy in actively raising her son. She enjoyed the outdoors and took delight in fishing, camping, gardening, and traveling.
A public memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013. She is survived by her husband, David Sy of Casper, Wyo., son, Owen Sy of Casper, Wyo., father Dennis McManamen of Winnemucca, mother Judie McManamen of Winnemucca, and sister Laurie Field of Winnemucca.
