KINGSTON - The sixth annual Kingston Village Baptist Church Revival will be held July 20 and will feature free food, people speaking about the Lord and plenty of worship.
The day will start with a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Orchard, said Kingston Village Baptist Church Clerk Rita Palmer, who is the main event organizer.
Starting at 9 a.m., there will be live Christian music and speakers spreading the word of the Lord. Anyone will be able to speak as long as it has to do with the Lord and worshiping, Palmer said.
A bagged turkey sandwich lunch will be served at noon, along with salad, drinks and desserts.
All of the food is free and will be cooked and served by the church members.
"We are encouraging everybody who can to come," Palmer said. "It's all free. Just come and enjoy the beauty of Kingston and the creek that runs by. Enjoy the day, rest and relax and just let God work in your lives. It's just an amazing time."
Palmer said that this year's event will be smaller than last year's three-day event which drew more than 150 people from all over including California, Colorado, Arizona, Alaska, Goldfield, Tonopah, Fallon, Carvers, Round Mountain, Austin, Las Vegas and Amargosa.
Palmer said past events have seen people healed and saved and she is looking forward to the same this year.
Palmer said that next year church members are planning to go back to a three-day event.
There are around 15 members of the church, which started in 1985.[[In-content Ad]]
