KINDERGARTEN SCREENING APRIL 8-11 AT WINNEMUCCA CONVENTION CENTER

Parents need to call school child will attend to schedule screening

WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County School District has announced the dates for this spring's kindergarten screening sessions.

Kindergarten screening/registration for the 2013-2014 school year will take place from Monday, April 8, through Thursday, April 11, at the West Hall of the Winnemucca Convention Center.

Children need to have completed their fifth birthday prior to September 30, 2013 in order to be eligible to attend kindergarten. Parents are urged to call the school their child will be attending in order to set up an appointment for screening.

Screenings for Grass Valley Elementary School will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 8, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9.

Screenings for Sonoma Heights Elementary School are scheduled for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10.

Screenings for Winnemucca Grammar School will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 11.

Each child being screened will need his or her original birth certificate (or a copy) and immunization record. Registration will include screenings for speech and vision. Immunizations can also be updated at the time of screening for eligible children.
