Our beloved Kimberly passed away in San Antonios after a short battle and tremendous fight against pancreatic cancer. Kimberly was born in Fairfield, Calif., on Sept. 12, 1959.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clyde Baker (Janet Baker) and Margie Kay Baker, and is survived by her younger siblings, Stacy Baker and David Baker.
When Kimberly was young, the family moved to Lovelock, Nev., where she was raised on a farm and joined 4-H. She raised lambs to participate in the auctions held through 4-H.
In high school, Kimberly met her first husband Daniel Bloxham and together they had two children, Jason Daniel (Angela) Bloxham and Justine Rae Bloxham. Later, she met her second husband, James Eric Caldwell, and had her third child, Amber Kay Caldwell. The two were married for 17 years when James was suddenly taken to the Lord.
Kimberly took great pride in her work and was a very strong and independent woman. She worked for Eagle Picher Minerals in both Lovelock and Reno for 30-plus years.
In her free time she enjoyed movies, watching and betting on football, shopping, gambling, camping, traveling and spending quality time with her children and family.
Kimberly had a passion for life and most recently took a leap of faith and started a fresh new life in San Antonio. While living in Texas, Kimberly got involved in bowling, working out with a personal trainer and participated in a Charity Golf tournament, of which she was the only female.
Kimberly loved living in San Antonio and explored as much as she could in her tourist city.
It was while living in Texas that Kimberly was diagnosed with cancer in January and fought until she was called home Feb. 17, 2014.
She is survived in life and will live on in her children Jason, Justine and Amber, as well as in the hearts of all paths she crossed.
A Celebration of Life for Kimberly will be held Saturday, March 15 at noon at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 780 Del Monte Lane in Reno. A potluck will immediately follow the service.
