Kenneth Wesley Wilson ('Old Fart')

Kenneth passed away in Reno on Nov. 19, 2011. Ken was born in Portsmouth, N.H., to Clyde and Hattie Wilson on Aug. 29, 1927. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was Honorably Discharged in June 1946.

Kenneth, over the years found himself in Battle Mountain where he began his mining career. He worked at Duval which later became Battle Mountain Gold, for approximately 30 years, as a Loader Operator. He had a nick name at the time of "Chrome Dome." After retiring, he loved to play slots and enjoy his family. He was in the newspaper in the early 90's displaying his own collections of hats that said "Old Fart." He was proud to wear them.

Kenneth loved the Lord, his family, his friends. He will be greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his sister, Charlette Stone, son Jim Wilson, daughter Loretta Gant Wilson, step sons, Bo Young, Mike Young, Stan Lumpkin, Michelle Lumpkin, Wade Lumpkin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandkids.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Owl Club on Dec. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m.
