Kathy Petersen passed away at her home in Carson City on May 28, 2012. She was born on Oct. 16, 1945, in Silver Fork, Utah.
Kathy worked as an office manager for many years with JCPenney, then with the family business in Battle Mountain. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by her children, Kelli Petersen, Tye (Angie) Petersen, brothers Lynn (Natalie) and Bruce (Lola) Bettridge, and grandchildren, Tyler, Dayne, and Travis. She was preceded in death by her husband Stretch, parents, Ruby and Dee Bettridge, and brothers, Jerry and Jay Bettridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
