Katherine Young passed away in Pasco, Wash., Dec. 27, 2012, at the age of 86.
She was born in San Rafael, Calif., Oct. 25, 1926, to James and Ellen Sweeny.
Later in life she married Howard Young and raised a family here in Winnemucca. Katherine loved going to her church Community Bible and being a homemaker, wife and mother. Katherine always looked forward to be with the friends and family and greeting them with her beautiful smile. She is survived by her three sons: Dave Young, PJ Young and Paul Young Sr.; grandchildren, Paul Young Jr., Sandi Bradshaw, Kyle Young and Katherine Young and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters who are Grace Myers of California and Pat Klever, also of California.
There will be a graveside service Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 9 a.m. at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
