Kaia FIT held their second annual Freedom Run on Veterans Day at our local National Guard Armory. It was a huge success, earning $688 to go towards the Wounded Warrior Project! Local participants, and two from Carson City had their choice of either walking or running the one mile course or the 3.2 mile course while carrying a United States Flag which they were able to take home with them! Children of all ages participated for free with their parents, having a fun walk or stroll with family, while paying tribute to our Veterans! Rebecca Gray, Kaia FIT Winnemucca owner and Freedom Run organizer would like to thank everyone for their participation and Barbara Stanton for allowing us to use the Armory, Tim for playing the National Anthem from his Harley, and the Americorps kids for the flag ceremony.
