BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Justice of the Peace candidate Ray Henry Williams III was arrested May 16 for the second time in three weeks. The latest arrest was for allegedly driving on a revoked driver's license for DUI.
He was arrested at around 10:30 a.m. on Main Street, according to the sheriff's office report.
His arraignment court date is set for July 2 at 10 a.m. in the Austin Justice Court, the same time and date of his other arraignment.
He was also arrested on May 3 at 9:30 p.m. on Second Street in Austin for allegedly resisting a public officer, turn signals required and suspicion of DUI above the legal limit, 2nd offense.
In both cases, he was released from jail on his own recognizance.
In the Justice of the Peace race, he is running against former Lander County Deputy District Attorney Bill Schaeffer.
