Johnson's Crew wins Spare Time Bowl Fall Classic

Johnson's Crew won the annual Spare Time Bowl Fall Classic held this past weekend.

The Winnemucca Inn provided $2,800 in prize money and Winners Inn contributed $1,000. Nearly 110 bowlers, 93 of them from out of town, competed in the three-day tournament. A total of $13,000 in prize money was awarded.

Johnson's Crew won the top prize of $3,000 and team members included Dave Johnson, Doug Nowlin and Rudy Moreno.

Reno Big Dogs (Kyle Klein, Pat Foley Sr. and Kevin Foley) finished second and earned $2,500. Carson Lanes (Chris Porcello, DeeDee Crist, Matt Putzer) placed third and won $2,000. Peterbilt Trucking (Denny Mandapat, Thomas Murray, Cesar Rosas) was fourth and won $1,200.

NWT Bowling Service (Eric Engels, John Eberhard, Roger Koplin) placed fifth, and Cooper's Crushers (Richard Wagner, Dan Brooks, Larry Cooper) were sixth.

Broken Arrow (Delbert Sturm, Trevor Vlcek, Dwayne Newkirk) placed seventh and Barber's Jockeys (John Barber, Rich Sharp, Dave Dayton) finished in eighth.

The high team game went to MT Construction (Gary Hudgins, Lenny Jakich, Bruce Haylett) with a 779 series. Jose Arredondo had the high individual game, with a 299. The high average out of the money went to Scott Carpenter at 234.17. Cam White and Jeff Morley had the high individual points won/out of the money with 20 each.[[In-content Ad]]
