1935-2015
John Junior Adler, 79, passed away Jan. 5, 2015, in his sleep at his home in Winnemucca, Nev. He was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Deadwood, S.D., to John Adler and Nathalia (Dolly) Adler. He married Shannon Zimmerer on April 23, 1983. They lived in Denver, Colo., and relocated to Winnemucca, Nev., in 1989.
John served proudly in the United States Marine Corp in the Korean War. He worked as a tire technician for Welsh & Company and many years later worked for Newmont Lone Tree Mine. He retired in 2001.
John loved working in his yard and garden growing many beautiful vegetables. He always had projects around the house that kept him very active.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Shannon Adler; his children, Karin Jones (Larry), of Winnemucca, Nev., Keith Adler (Leona), of Thornton, Colo., Debbie Smith (Pete), of North Carolina, Tammy Skinner, Shellie Zornas and Lorne Adler (Debbie), all of Thornton, Colo., and Kimberly Patrick, of Montana, Kelly Penfold and Katrina Thorpe(Eric); his brother, Eddie Adler (Jane), and sisters, Virginia Rumsey (Ross) and Betty Hettinger (Herald). John had 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Adler, his mother, Nathalia (Dolly) Adler, his brother, Buddy Adler and sister, Dorthey Hettinger.[[In-content Ad]]
