Jimmy Wayne Tarter, age 66, passed away at his home in Lovelock on May 10, 2013.
He was born May 20, 1946, in Modesto, Calif., to John Charles and Farrell LaDonna Davidson Tarter, and had lived in Lovelock for 18 years, coming from Murphys, Calif.
Jimmy had worked as a machinist and also as a miner.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; mother Farrell; brother, John; daughter, Tammy (Ted) Starr; grandsons, Cody and Ryan Starr; all of Lovelock. son, Bryan (Liz) Tarter; grandsons, Dalton and Triston Tarter, all of Tuolumne, Calif.
A private family committal service will be held later in Angels Camp, Calif.
Arrangements are with Smith Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Fallon, 423-2255.
