Jimmy C. Boner

Jimmy C. Boner surrendered to his courageous battle with cancer on September 13, 2012. Born to Esther and Lee Boner on December 12, 1942, he traveled a lot as a young boy and was able to see much of the country with his parents. He served in the Air Force for four years and saw the world. He finally settled in Nevada where he, along with his father, owned KWNA radio station in Winnemucca, Nevada. Jimmy and his wife, Mary Ann, moved to Reno in the early 70's where they raised two children and spent the rest of their lives. Jimmy prided himself on working for NDOT for several years where he developed lifelong friendships. Jimmy is survived by two children, Aaron Boner (Jerrod Jones) of Seattle, WA and Anita Willrich (Erick Willrich) of Reno, NV. Jimmy is survived by two grandchildren that were the light of his life. He spent a lot of his free time being the best grandfather to Camron and Travis Willrich. A memorial will be held at Walton's Funeral Home located at 600 West Second Street in Reno on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 am.
