Jessica Nicole Morton earned her angel wings on Nov. 5, 2013. Jessica was born on June 4, 1989, in Oakland, Calif. Jessica was born with muscular dystrophy and was in a wheelchair most of her life. She never let that slow her down though. Her positive attitude and zest for life was a driving force that could not be stopped. Everyone who knows her was touched by her love of life attitude.
Jessica is survived by her mother and stepfather Tina and Dave Leon, father and stepmother Terry and Julie Morton, brother Daniel Morton and his girlfriend Lisa Manzo; grandparents Wayne and Diane Weaver, Royse and Beverly Upshaw, Bud and Gerry Lloid, and Dave Leon Sr.; aunt and uncle Wayne and Stephanie Weaver, Randy and Apryl Morton, Dave Morton, Kimberly Morton, and Nicky and Kevin Rothlesberger; cousins Sarah Morton, Amber Morton, Robert and Anastasia Morton, Ashley Madden, Gavin Weaver, Kameron Weaver and Marley Morton; niece Aaliyah Morton, who was the light of her life.
Jessica was preceded in death by many special people - Terry Patterson, Freda Weaver, Chad Morton, Cindy Morton, Ricky Morton, Dawn Madden and so many others.
A celebration of Jessica's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 135 Giroux St., Winnemucca Nev. Everyone is welcome.
