LOVELOCK - Sydney Jensen was Student of the Week at Pershing County Middle School for the week of April 8 - 11.
This is what one of her teachers, Kristy Dominguez, had to say about her.
"I would like to nominate Sydney Jensen for student of the week. Sydney shows more than just academic excellence in the classroom. Sydney exemplifies good character with the kindness she shows to others around her. I have watched her jump up to help peers in the classroom who may be struggling and have seen her move from her friends in the lunchroom to sit by students who are sitting alone. This not only takes character but shows the empathy that Sydney has for others around her," Dominguez said. "I appreciate the warm smile I see Sydney share with others and really enjoy watching the extreme athletic effort Sydney makes in every sport in which she competes. Sydney has a great attitude and is not afraid to participate or join in every activity available," she added.
