Jeena Sartain Von Schott passed away on Oct. 25, 2013, peacefully after a short battle with cancer. Jeena was born on March 6, 1937, in Tinsman, Ark., to Norman Loyl Sartain and Doris Elizabeth Rutherford Sartain. She moved with her family to the west coast in 1941, settling in the Eureka, Calif. area.
Jeena graduated from Leggett Valley High School in 1955, and headed to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career. She worked for Max Factor and Loretta Young Studios, and taught etiquette and modeling.
Jeena was married to Robert Von Schott for approximately five years.
Jeena held several executive positions with major realtor-related companies from 1964 until 1985, when she moved to Winnemucca to be close to her parents and other family.
She worked in mobile homes sales in Winnemucca and Dallas, Texas and as a hostess/ cashier in various local businesses, including her sister's restaurant, Ardie's Steakhouse.
Jeena loved reading, especially about travel and nutrition. She was very interested in politics, and loved playing cards and spending time with her family.
Jeena is survived by her sister, Linda (Arden) Flanders of Winnemucca; Brothers Tom Sartain of Texas, and Gary (Bonnie) Sartain of Oregon; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Doris Sartain.

A graveside service will be held at the Winnemucca Cemetery on Nov. 8, 2013, at 2 p.m., with a reception immediately following at the United Methodist Church at 138 W. Winnemucca Boulevard, Winnemucca, Nev.
