Jim Harper passed into the heavenly gates on Friday, Dec 21, 2012, at the age of 76 years. He was born in Waco, Texas, and was a long-time resident of Winnemucca. Jim served as a very proud United States Marine and soon met his wonderful wife Patty. They were married in 1955 until her passing in 1999. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Pat & Opal Harper, Patricia Harper and a one-of-a-kind grandson, Joshua James Moody. Left to cherish his memory is Jennie Elkin, his most loving companion and friend; his three daughters Vickie Moody of Fresno, Donna Meir and Lori Meeks of San Bernadino, the apple of his eye great grandson Kole Joshua James Hall, Kole's loving parents Capt. Clint and Jackie Hall and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren, his best dog ever Cricket and all his wonderful friends he knew and loved along the way. Jim will be missed by so very many hearts and he will be loved forever. In his honor his family and friends will celebrate Jim's life at the Latter-day Saints church, 111 W.
