James Edward Mehaffey "Cowboy Jim" has passed from this life on March 19, 2012. Born in Salem, N.J., on Feb. 9, 1943, he was proceeded in life by his wife Anita Renee Mehaffey.
Jim and Renee were married on March 27, 1976, in Carson City. They enjoyed their life together working on many ranches in Northern Nevada. Experienced in the many facets of keeping a ranch and working the livestock, they were blessed doing the things they loved.
Cowboy Jim served in the United States Navy from February, 1960 until he was discharged with honors as a senior officer in January, 1964.
He will be very much missed by his friends and neighbors in the Grass Valley area where he made his home for the last 15 years of his life. Rest in peace Jim, with your beloved wife.
A graveside service will be held at the Winnemucca Cemetery on April 2, 2012, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Albertson Funeral Home, 47 W. First St., Winnemucca, NV 89445.
