Jacquelyn Helen (McDonald, Jones) Crouch

Jacquelyn Helen (McDonald, Jones) Crouch died Jan. 16, 2013, at the home she shared with her beloved husband Billy Crouch in Winnemucca following an illness. Jackie is remembered as a loving mother and a beautiful redhead, who was always kind and charitable.

Jackie was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Chico, Calif. She attended Anderson Union High School, and later graduated from Freemont High School in Oakland. Soon after graduation, she married a young sailor, John Jones. John and Jackie moved from the Bay Area to Corning, and later to Anderson, Calif. The couple was married nearly 25 years and had three children, Judy (Fish), Janet (Tufts) and Johnny (Jake Jones). Jackie is survived by her children and their families, including seven grandchildren, and the many friends she adored.

After she and John divorced, Jackie moved to Kellogg, Idaho, where she met and wed Billy Crouch, gaining three stepchildren and 11 more grandchildren. Jackie loved her new family and her life with Billy.

Jackie is remembered as a dedicated mother, involved in her children's activities. From Brownie Troop leader, to volunteering with the Aqua Gators Swim Team, she always supported her loving family. She was a voracious reader and a seamstress, who sewed many of her family's clothes. For several years she owned and operated JJ's Bargain Den in Anderson, Calif. She was an avid bowler, a tennis player and described by her children's friends as "the cool, generous, pretty mom" who welcomed all into her home and her heart. Her life ended too soon and she will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service is planned for the spring in California.
