BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Jacob's Well hosts youth bingo every third Thursday of the month, which is free for youth 12-18 years old.
Maverik generously provides gift cards every month for prizes and has since the beginning of the year.
Dawn Wilson, Battle Mountain Maverik manager said, "We see the kids line up across the street as they wait for Jacob's Well to open. The youth center is a wonderful asset to this community. Maverik is happy to support the efforts of the youth center."
Jacob's Well board of directors and volunteers strive to offer activities that resonate with the youth.
"Our youth love Maverik. The gift cards are usually redeemed that same night. We are grateful to Dawn and Treg for their commitment to the youth in Battle Mountain. Their support goes a long way for our rural nonprofit," said Jessica Arky, executive director of the board.
Residents who are interested and able to offer their time or monetary support are encouraged to call the youth center at (775) 635-8800 or visit the website for more information at www.jwyc.org.
Through the combined efforts of local businesses and Battle Mountain residents, Jacob's Well will be able to continue its current programs for the youth and expand services in the future.
