On Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, Jack Timothy Goodrum died after losing his courageous battle to cancer.
As a member of the United States Army he bravely served as a Green Beret, continuing into his retired years as an active member of the local Lovelock, Nevada Veteran's Association.
Jack was a family man who helped his wife Laura raise their children in Antiock, Calif. His role as "Pop" extended far beyond his biological children, including neighbors, friends and fellow members of the Tapers Union in the East Bay.
Jack was a mentor, a coach and a father figure; therefore his memory will live on in the hearts of many.
After retiring Jack and Laura relocated to Round Mountain and later to Lovelock.
Jack is survived by his children Tammy, Kathy, Jackie and Jesse, his grandchildren Krystal, Amber, Jamii, Keanu and Marshal, and his great-grandchildren Tyler, Brandon and Achilles.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Feb. 25, at Sturgeons Center Club.[[In-content Ad]]
