WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt Volunteer Hospice needs more wheelchairs.
The organization cares for individuals in the Humboldt County community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness.
"So you can imagine what a huge need we have for wheelchairs," said HVH Executive Director Sherry Smith, "and we are running short."
Smith is asking the community to drop off any gently used wheelchairs by the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop as soon as possible.
The store is located at 720 E. Fourth St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
"We are grateful to anyone who can help us at this time," said Smith. "We know we can always fall back on our kind and generous community."
