WINNEMUCCA - Ladies and gentlemen, watch out, because the 2012-2013 rodeo season is just about to begin.
Ely will be holding the first high school rodeo of the year from Sept. 28 - 30. The Humboldt County Rodeo Club has an abundance of new rodeo club members, who are ready to put on their game faces and start competing.
The new officers in the club are Josh Dufurrena as president, Matt Ourada (vice president), Maddy Gilbert (secretary), Shaynee Monchamp (treasurer), Savannah Montero (reporter), and Cole Stremler (sergeant of arms).
If anyone is interested in joining and practicing with the Humboldt County Rodeo Club there will be practices held every Wednesday at the fairgrounds. If there are any questions, contact Glynn Montero at (775) 941-0401. Everyone is enthusiastic and prepared for the rodeo season to begin.
