Humboldt County Rodeo Club competes in Lincoln County

WINNEMUCCA - The Nevada State High School Rodeo Association made its final trip to southern Nevada this season with a trip to Panaca for the Lincoln County rodeo on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.

Humboldt County's Savannah Montero claimed first place in the girls cutting in the Friday, May 3, performance. She was second in goat tying on Friday, May 3, with a time of 7.43 seconds.

In the second performance of goat tying on Saturday, she was third with a time of 8.00.

Josh Dufurrena partnered with Dakota Feyder to finish eighth in the team roping on Saturday in a time of 23.4.

Rachel Hendrix and Dakota Feyder were named the all-around cowgirl and cowboy, respectively, on Friday, May 3. Randi Buchanan and Wyatt Thomas earned reserve honors and Abby Estes and Cord Hendrix were chosen as the rookie cowgirl and cowboy.

Buchanan and Denny picked up all-around honors on Saturday. Hendrix and Thomas were named the reserve all-around winners and Estes and Jay Guerrero were the rookie cowgirl and cowboy.

The Humboldt County Rodeo Club travels to Reno on Saturday and Sunday for the Washoe County rodeo.[[In-content Ad]]
