WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County High School rodeo team competed at the Spanish Springs High School Rodeo held at the Joe Gandolfo Arena in Sparks on Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6.
The young team did a great job of representing the Humboldt County club.
Team roper Trase Bell won second in the average with his Churchill County partner Sam Goings. Humboldt County's Savannah Montero won the average in goat tying and Luke Logan took second in saddle bronc riding.
Jake Logan claimed sixth place in tie down roping, Shaylee Robertson was seventh in barrel racing, Maclyn Crnkovich took 12th in pole bending, Patrice Stewart was 14th in barrel racing, while Kenadee Miller took 26th in the same event.
In the junior high ranks, the team of Quint Bell and Cade Bell were third in the average for team roping. In addition, Cade Bell placed third in breakaway roping and Quint Bell was fifth in breakaway roping.
Julianne Montero placed sixth in pole bending and 12th in barrel racing. Megan Miller finished seventh in goat tying and 14th in barrels.
Also competing for Humboldt County and putting out great performances were Shawn Mentaberry in saddle bronc, Caleb Logan in team roping and Dawson Cassinelli in bull riding.
The Humboldt County Rodeo Club is off until Saturday, Nov. 2, and Sunday, Nov. 3, when they travel to Alamo.
