Humboldt County Rodeo Club competes at Alamo

Stremler tops in saddle bronc

WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Rodeo Club was back in action in Alamo on Friday, Nov. 2, and Saturday, Nov. 3, with Clay Stremler winning a performance of saddle bronc. Stremler led the way in the Nov. 2 performance with a score of 61 points. He was the only competitor to record a score in the performance. No rider stayed on for the full eight seconds in the second performance on Nov. 3.

Josh Dufurrena placed sixth in the Nov. 2 calf roping with a time of 20.20 seconds. In addition, he was seventh in the team roping on the same day with a time of 16.23. Dufurrena improved to fifth in the team roping on Nov. 3, timing in at 14.45.

Rachel Hendrix and Jesse Estill were named the all-around cowgirl and all-around cowboy, respectively, on Nov. 2. Hayley Dalton and Kamryn Boucher were the reserve cowgirl and cowboy and Abby Estes and Cord Hendrix won the rookie honors.

On Nov. 3, Hendrix and Wyatt Denny won all-around cowgirl and cowboy honors. Randi Buchanan and Estill claimed the reserve honors and Estes and Cord Hendrix took the rookie awards.

The club competed in Boulder City this past weekend and travels to Las Vegas this Saturday and Sunday.
