Humboldt County Pets at the Pound published Nov. 22, 2013

The following animals were recently picked up by Animal Control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at 623-6403 or Sheriff's Dispatch at 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog's description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



Nov. 11

A tan and white male Corgi was picked up at the shelter. *Reclaimed.

Nov. 12

A black and tan male German Shepherd was picked up on the corner of Eisenhower and Mizpah St. *Reclaimed

A black and white male Lab/Heeler mix was picked up on Jupiter.

A black and white female Lab/Heeler mix was picked up on Jupiter.

A tri-color female ShiTzu was picked up on E. 2nd Street.

A white and black female Border Collie/Heeler mix was picked up on Bridge St.

Nov. 13

A black and white female Border Collie was dropped at the shelter.

Nov. 14

A white and red neutered male Aussie was picked up at Grass Valley School. *Reclaimed.

A red male Pomeranian mix was picked up on Melarkey St.

A tri-colored male Mountain Dog mix was picked up near the shelter.

A red and white male Border Collie was picked up near the shelter.

Nov. 15

A brown and white female Shepherd-Pit Bull mix was surrendered to the shelter.

A tri-colored male Border Collie was picked up on Stinton.

A white neutered male Golden Retriever was picked up on Jackson. *Reclaimed

Nov. 16

A red female Heeler was picked up on Wildhorse.

A white and brown male Terrier was picked up on Mary Way.



Of the dogs impounded since the last report, four have been reclaimed by their owners and four were adopted.



If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at 623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
