Humboldt General Hospital received some exciting news recently.
The homepage on the hospital's website has been recognized among the best of the best in design.
The "Award of Excellence" was presented during the 2014 Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications.
Founded two decades ago, The Communicator Awards receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.
The "Award of Excellence," the group's highest honor, is given to those entrants whose ability to communicate positions them as the best in the field.
Humboldt General Hospital's homepage was nominated by Scorpion Design, the firm that collaborated with the hospital to arrive at the new website design about two years ago.
Humboldt General Hospital Director of Community Education and Development Nicole Maher worked with Scorpion Art Director Jeffrey Licas, Account Executive Cody Chula, Marketing Director Bree Cameron and Production Manager Kassi Tamres to arrive at the new design.
Maher said the four were true professionals and were able to bring together everything the hospital required in a workable-and beautiful-website.
"Scorpion's eye for design is exceptional," said Maher. "I knew we had a special end product, and this award has certainly confirmed that."
The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
