Last June, volunteers from the Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary were honored for their service during an awards banquet at the Winnemucca Convention Center.
In all, Auxiliary members were honored for donating 12,746 volunteer hours to the organization through Fiscal Year 2013-2014, either through service at the Poke & Peek Thrift Shop (the group's primary source of income) or through inservice hours at Humboldt General Hospital, special project hours or meeting hours.
Following a delicious dinner, members were individually honored for hitting new milestones, including: Kay Austin, Kay DeBord, Susan Glenn, Gial Niva and Margaret Patchett - 100+ hours; Alicia Cramer and Buck Tipton - 500+ hours; Joy Dahlka - 1,573 hours; Estella Monarrez - 2,250 hours; Joe Gough and Beverly White - 3,000+ hours; Judi Churchman - 4,253 hours; Joe McIntyre - 6,476 hours; and Diane Kearns - 10,000+ hours.
Additionally, Dorothy Fiske received a special award recognizing her donation of over 14,000 hours to the organization.
Since 1969, the Auxiliary has donated hundreds of thousands of hours and nearly $2.5 million to the hospital.
"I am very grateful for their efforts," said Humboldt General Hospital CEO/Administrator Jim Parrish of Auxiliary members. "This group is a tremendous asset to the hospital."
Also during the annual awards banquet, Auxiliary officers were installed for the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
Susan Rorex will serve as the organization's president, Judy Adams will serve as vice president, Susan Harrer will serve as recording secretary, Joy Darre will serve as corresponding secretary, and Alicia Cramer will serve as treasurer.
