The Griddle restaurant will donate a percentage of its sales to the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice on Tuesday, June 24. The choice of recipient was easy, according to Regional Manager Abe Aboud, especially since the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice had recently helped provide end-of-life care to Suzie Fouchet, a long-time waitress at the restaurant who passed away April 22 following an extended illness. Additionally, the eatery is collecting donations during the month of June for the volunteer organization, including those from employees who are allowed to "pay" in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans to work.
