Hospice celebrates anniversary with customer appreciation day

WINNEMUCCA - The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop is hosting a very special celebration this month.

The second-hand store is marking its third anniversary with a "Customer Appreciation Day" on Tuesday, June 18.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the store will host a $5 brown bag sale. Plus, there will be plenty of cookies to say "thank you" for this community's dedicated support.

"The Flamingo is such an integral part of our operation, of being able to raise the monetary funds we need to provide support to our patients," said Humboldt Volunteer Hospice Executive Director Sherry Smith.

"But we couldn't do it without those customers coming through the doors every day," she said. "They are the real heroes here and we want to thank them for our success."

The Humboldt Volunteer Hospice provides help to individuals in the Humboldt County community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness. All hospice care is provided at no cost to patients and families do not need a doctor's referral in order to access hospice services.

The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop is located at 720 E. Fourth St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Donations are gladly accepted during the store's hours of operation.[[In-content Ad]]
