Lander County Commissioner Ray Williams, Jr., (left) and Lander County Executive Director Gene Etcheverry received plaques to honor them at the Dec. 12 Lander County Commission meeting. This is Williams' last term serving on the board and Etcheverry resigned effective Dec. 31. Williams is ending his third term and 12th year as a commissioner. He served his first two terms from 1987 to 1994. Etcheverry has served as the executive director for six years and nine months.
