Henry "Hank" Carl Schade of Winnemucca, Nev., passed peacefully to be with his Lord on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014. He is the son of Julia and Henry Carl Schade Sr.
Hank spent his childhood in Culver City, Calif. Upon graduating from Venice High School he received a football scholarship to San Jose State, but World War II approached and he joined the United States Navy where he rose to the rank of Chief Aviation Machinist Mate.
After the war, he moved his family to Fernley, Nev., and in 1977 he relocated to Winnemucca, Nev., where he continued his work as an electrician. Hank was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and received the 55-year Member Service Award.
Hank will be remembered for his strong work ethic and for his love of teaching apprentices and for mentoring those who worked with him. He will be missed by all the lives that he touched.
He is survived by his children, Cris Schade, Jan and Vickie Schade, John and Anita Schade, Tony and Linda Schade, Elaine King, and Chali and Allen Middleton. He is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. His son, Ralph Schade preceded him in death in 2012. Hank is now in heaven celebrating his everlasting life with his beautiful wife Beatrice Schade of 70 years and their dog Sissy, who both preceded him in death. Per Hanks' last wishes, a memorial service will not be held.[[In-content Ad]]
